SCHIEFLER, Mark T. -55, a resident of Clearwater, Florida, died October 22, 2009 from injuries suffered after being accidentally struck by a car on a street in St. Petersburg, Florida. He leaves a fiancé, Vanessa King of St. Petersburg, Florida. Mark is the son of Gretchen Thomson of Clearwater, Florida and Lacey Schiefler of Pontiac, Michigan (deceased). He is survived by a sister, Margo Krupa (Bill McDaniel) of Fenton, Michigan, a stepbrother, Tom Thomson of Kensington, Maryland (Irina Thomson) and several nieces and nephews, including Kailee Krupa of Seattle, Washington, Kreg Krupa of Traverse City, Michigan and Keaton Krupa of Montana. Pleasant, Michigan, Audrey Thomson and Artyom Plotnikov Thomson of Kensington, Maryland. He has a large extended family in his home state of Michigan and Florida. Mark had a long professional career in sales. At the time of his death, he was employed as an internal salesman for VICI Marketing, LLC of Largo, Florida. During his career he also worked as a salesman with the Danka Corporation and the Prudential Insurance Company. Mark’s passion for sales started in college when he sold Fuller Brush products door to door to earn his college tuition. Mark was an avid tennis player and sports fan, especially for his beloved Spartans of Michigan State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan. and attended grammar and high school in Waterford, Michigan. He was married twice but both unions ended in divorce.
